when i got clean/sober 21 years ago i wasn't a religious god person, and i'm still not religious at all. that can be a problem when first introduced to a twelve step way of life. i wanted to stay clean and learn a new way to live so badly i was willing to try and find a way to believe in a power greater than myself. this book let me.i had been looking for a daily reader to get me started on the path i found myself but was over having to read so much about one "god" i thought was attached to religion vs. spirituality. i looked for months trying to find one that would suit me. when i found this i was so happy. each morning i read it. it grounded me. it opened me up to everything thing around me as connected and to be respected, humble before it. also brave and courages to face each new thing.i passed it on to another struggling person a couple years later. kept meaning to get a new one for myself but lapsed on it. just recently i tried to find it without remembering its actual name nor the author's i knew some key words. it took some work, hours, but finally found it! so happy to have this again. times get difficult. sometimes i wander off the path. this book starts each day on track. so grateful.if you have found yourself in a similar situation, please try this book. helped to change my life in the most wonderful way.

Once you figure out where you start in the book it is great. I love everything that Jamie Sams has done. I do my daily meditations with her Animal Cards. She comes straight from the heart.

I bought my first copy 8 years ago and have since bought several more copies to give to friends. I read the messages, one each day, for a year, then start over again. I love the wisdom imparted in the pages, have even made my own little index in the back to easily find some of my favorites. My day starts with a page from my Unity Daily Word and a page from Earth Medicine. It's amazing how closely the ideas live together. It seems to be all about oneness.
